Quick Subjective Comparison (Please)

I want your opinion on which of teh following schools is better. No talk about fit, and all that other crap. Which school do you think is over all better?

Michigan, WashU, and Emory are the three schools.

Rank them in overall academics (your opinion)
Rank them in premed programs (your opinion)
Rank them in med school placement (maybe less of an opinion)
Rank them in undergrad bschool (your opinion)
Rank them in job placement (maybbe less of an opinion)

I am just curious to see how other people rate these colleges against eachother to see if I have had any misconceptions about them and their relative strengths.

Remember: dont talk about fit, and that other stuff. I can worry about that if i get in. Now I just want to know how people compare these three schools.

from best to worst:

Michigan=Emory, WashU
Not familiar with premed and med school
Michigan, Emory, WashU
Relatively equal (unfortunately)

undergrad B school, michigan is going to be the best

undergrad premed, you'd be looking at emory or washu, and i'd give washu the edge

bump

Are Emory and WashU signifigantly better than Mich at premed, or are these schools pretty even? Also, is there anywhere I can see how many students differnt schools send to top med programs?

Venkater,

My daughter is a double-major in NBB and Music following a pre-med track at Emory. She didn't have any problem getting all her classes for ALL requirements, with all classes taught by professors. Nothing against University of Michigan (which is where a couple of her best friends attend), but UM is a huge school with a huge population of pre-med students, all contending for limited classes. My daughter also has a part-time position working for a Biology professor as a Research/Lab Assistant. I would say that opportunities, whether academic or otherwise, are perhaps easier at a smaller research university than a larger one.

I'd give Emory the edge in pre-med; that's the area in which it truly excels. 75% of WUStL's biology majors are pre-med, and they're all vying for the same resources. At Emory students have access to the medical school, the CDC, the American Cancer Society, etc.
