Okay…
So in your UC app… where it asks for your family info and whatnot-- what do I put for a father who is “estranged”… as in, I’ve never seen him and I prolly never will?
It won’t let me put his occupation as “blank”. -_-

Oh what if my mom was “unemployed” for a couple of months? Do I put that as her prior occupation and put 1 year? And what if she’s had the job she has now for a couple of months… does that go as “1 year” as well?
<p>I think that that info is for recordning stats and stuff...also finding minorities. That means don't worry about being too precise. However, applying for financial aid is different. I'm sure they'll give you room to explain your situation. </p>
<p>I'm not sure what you could do electronically, but if you print it out or hand write the app, you can just write a note. After all, people do read these--not machines.</p>
