quick uc transfer question

When applying, is your spring term grades prior to enrollment a factor when deciding if you will be accepted? I ask this because since the app is submitted all the way back in november before even fall ends, I was wondering if the decision is held off until you complete spring term.

It doesn't factor into whether or not you will be accepted, but if you screw up before transfer, your admission can be rescinded.

I see, but the fall term prior to fall enrollment does, correct?

Yes, you send them an update of your fall grades, and they are factored in the decision.

Will they always look at your fall grades, or will they occasionally not even bother due to sub par grades the previous two terms. I ask this because the previous two semesters my grades were decent, but not great. This fall i plan on focusing on school full time, and raising my GPA considerably, but since apps are turned in in November, at that time all they will have to go by is Fall/Spring of the previous year.

they dont start looking at apps until they get your fall grades.

what about winter quarter grades, they look at those, correct?

Most likely Winter Quarter grades will not be received in time to help with the admissions decision. However, like spring grades, the winter grades will have an effect on your admissions if you don’t complete the courses with decent grades.

Ok then, thx
