Quick UF Transfer Application Question

Tranferring from a CC with my A.A (MDC) Applying to UF's Accounting program.

After completing the application for UF for spring tem 2012 I was told by some girl that supposedly went to UF and she said, "sometimes and the end of your application there's a questionaire that you must submit to the college your applying to." She also said that sometimes they require you to write a short response to a question they ask.

Is this true? If any?

Thank you, any help would be nice :)

@Laz, I’m not sure in what you’re asking…if UF requires applicants to respond to a questionnaire for their particular college, then it would hvae been on the application. Unless the questionnaire is separate from the application? But I don’t believe this to be true, or maybe it’s true for some colleges. Just call Admissions to be sure. Good luck!

did u find out if u got accepted? I’m
still waiting for my spring 2012 decision!

i was just accepted to the fall 2011 term as a transfer student. i didn’t do any questionnaires. the only type of responses i had to do were in the application itself (transfer statements).

I think that what your friend meant is that some colleges have a secondary application to fill out. You fill out your regular UF application for the general university, and then you go to your college’s website and see if there is a secondary application to fill out. Not all colleges and majors make you do this, but some do - sometimes it requires writing a second essay, submitting a resume, letters of recommendation, etc (my college and major required this). I did a quick look at the Fisher School of Accounting’s website ([BSAc - Fisher School of Accounting - Warrington College of Business Administration](http://warrington.ufl.edu/fsoa/programs/bsac/requirements.asp)) and it does not appear that you need to do anything like this. So, when you are done with your regular UF application (the one you do at admissions.ufl.edu), you are done applying! Now all you need to do is sit back and wait.

NOTE: Applying for Spring means you will probably not hear back until October-November! If you’re lucky, you may hear back in late September, but it’s typically October-November. So be prepared for a bit of a wait! (I am an incoming transfer student for fall who went to Santa Fe for a year before transferring to UF, so I know a good amount about transferring because I’ve gotten to hear about many people’s stories)
