Hey guys, quick question. I know when your applying to Wharton, you can send your SAT + SAT 2 scores or your ACT but should you take SAT2's if you took the ACT?

I took the ACT and sent in two SAT II’s with it. It’s debatable whether Wharton cares to see the Math II with the ACT, but I did it just to be safe.

Can anyone else comment on this. Is it pretty much necessary to take the SAT 2’s to get into Wharton?

does wharton/Penn take sat II’s and ACT (in lieu of SAT I)?

Penn takes ACT in lieu of SAT I and SAT II. So technically you only need to take the ACT. But… I don’t know how many brave individuals only do so.

So the consensus is that if you do take the ACT, you send along two SAT 2 scores

Wharton likes to see the Math II, but I honestly can’t say if it’s required if you take the ACT.

So if I had a 33 (first try with no studying, will retake in sept.) and 800’s in mathII and physics. Do you think this qualifies me at least consideration of my app for jerome fisher? or just wharton alone? I feel like I have plenty of engineering and business/econ EC’s as well as the usual volunteering, leadership, sports, and music. I will probably do a chance thread in the near future. btw i’m a rising senior in hs.

Yes, I think that definitely would give you a chance. I can’t say for M&T, but Wharton for sure they would be considered. I can’t see M&T not considering you with those scores. I had a 33 (same as you, first try no studying. I just was too lazy to retake it again haha). I think a 34 would look better but I had a 720 in Math II and was fine.
