p.s
Do you think I'm an all around student? What do you think the colleges will think? What do I need to work on for which college? My number one is Howard. Thanks

I don’t think you’re an all around student. Your GPA is mediocre, your SATs are bad, there is no clear commitment in athletics. Your ECs don’t show any specific interest but more of “I’d sign up for this club, and this club, and this club.” (I could be mistaken about this, but it is just what it seems like).

You need to raise your SAT. If you have a chance, take the ACT in October. It could be your “better” test.

I agree with both previous suggestions. Also, I would like to point out the irony in the thread’s title: “Quick ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer. Please explain.”

Looking at college board at a glance, it seems that your sats are in the mid 50% (assuming you mean 2 sections) but your GPA is on the lower side. Your EC look fine.

Howard University:
14% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher
18% had h.s. GPA between 3.5 and 3.74
19% had h.s. GPA between 3.25 and 3.49
23% had h.s. GPA between 3.0 and 3.24
24% had h.s. GPA between 2.5 and 2.99
2% had h.s. GPA between 2.0 and 2.49

Middle 50% of

SAT Critical Reading: 460 - 660 82%
SAT Math: 440 - 660 82%
SAT Writing: 430 - 660 82%

I got info from some sights that howard takes students with SAT scores as low as 850. Are they wrong?

And albright said that they don’t even need my SAT scores, that they will just take an interview or an essay. What do you guys think about that?

And do I have a better chance of getting into Howard U if I apply ED?
