ACT is this Saturday, and I still can't finish the reading section in time!!

What's the best and quickest way to improve my reading speed/score?! Or, how do you approach the reading section?

Thanks in advance!

same question for me... even though i am decent at sat cr, the time here is way too short.

I need help too! I got a lousy 26 on this practice test for Reading... :(

have you tried:
reading the question
then reading passage
then answering question

i think that's the easiest way.

read all the questions of the passage then read it, or take that process one question at a time? please clarify on your process more.

i think taking a quick scan at the passage then a scan over the questions works well, you can probably answer 1 or 2 right off the bat without reading. then read the passage and answer the rest. the timing is definitely your enemy here but if you read quickly and effectively you can counter it. i never fill in your answer sheet 1 at a time, it messes up my whole "flow" and concentration. I usually do 4-5 questions then just fill it in. Constantly going back and forth is a pain.

...Am I the only one that actually reads the whole passage and then answers the questions?

nope i do that too. it works for me: i got a 35.

I do that too, yeahallie and calboi :)

omg when i do the practice test, i do them so slow that sometimes i run out of time and I still have 2 whole passages left to answer! I read the passage fast enough, but take a long time going through the answer choices and end of skimming the passage for the answer SEVERAL times. I got a 560 CR SAT, but fear that I will FAIL the ACT reading section like this. What can I do?
