<p>You should consider living down town SB (if you're willing to commute ~15 min to campus). OR UCSB has spaces reserved in the uni owned apartments for grad students.</p>

<p>Goleta is an excellent choice. SB is too far.<br>
You will not be alone - there are a number of grad students & older transfers who choose to live in Goleta.<br>
And great choice it is: a bike ride away (or shuttle); quiet; places to eat...check it out.</p>
