Hey! Fall 2013 residential apps are supposedly right around the corner, and I was wondering about what are the generally 'quieter' neighborhoods. My first choice is probably going to be the SPEA LLC, and if I need to rank the Honors neighborhoods (with a SPEA major), are there any thoughts on which ones I should go for?

Hi there – I know there’s an Honors floor in the same center as the SPEA LLC in Briscoe (Northwest) but that’s not generally considered a quiet neighborhood. That said, I’ve heard that Briscoe has changed in terms of its culture since the renovation and is much more tame. I would then opt for Central since it’s considered quieter and is also not too far from SPEA.

Thanks! I appreciate that a bunch!

My daughter is a freshman this year…DA into Kelley and Hutton Honors student. She lives on one of the Honors floors in Teter (Central Neighborhood) and really likes it. It is quiet, but yet she says there is always something going on. I believe she is planning on living there again next year.

Central works great. Apply to the Resident scholar program that gives a very cheap rate on housing and lets you live 3 minutes from SPEA in Ashton(one of the quietest dorms around that still has a lot of friendly people)
