<p>I am a high school senior planning to attend the Merrill School of Journalism at UMD next year. With less than a month left for seniors, my school has decided to activate our chapter of the Quill and Scroll, the journalism honor society. They are asking for a $38 membership fee in order for seniors to get a graduation cord, pin, and membership certificate.</p>
<p>I've looked into the Quill and Scroll Society and am wondering if it's worth paying for the membership. I've already been accepted to college, but will it look good on a resume for the future? I don't have much journalistic experience other than three years on my school paper.</p>
