Quinnipiac Class of 2022

Good night everyone! I hope that this is still active.

I am a Senior in High School who was raised in Connecticut for a good majority of my life until I had to move across the country to Arizona for military reasons. I really want to go back home to a school that I could enjoy, and Quinnipiac is a university that I’m really interested in.

I wanted to pursue the undergraduate major Game Design and Development and Minor in Film, Television, and Media. I’ve sent my application 12/17 and got the admission verification checklist on 12/28. I really don’t want to rush the admissions office nor call them due to how many applications they go through in a year. @QUAdmissions Will I get an admissions decision later in the month for not applying early in the fall? Are admission decisions sent via mail or email? Thank you so much!

Update: Got accepted today!

@SoulsMystery congrats!! I’m waiting patiently for a decision, my admissions office checklist review was checked off on 12/27, so I’m hoping late this month or early next month!

@SoulsMystery, admissions decisions are sent out on a rolling basis throughout the winter. Generally it will take about six weeks from when the application is submitted to receive a decision. Decisions are sent via email.

You’re always welcome to call our office (203-582-8600) or email (admissions@qu.edu) to check in on where your application is. Your status page will update you as to the progress of your application. Having a “checklist verification” means your application is in review, once a decision is made a status update email will be sent and you’ll notice a “status update” on your portal as well.

admitted, Behavioral Neuroscience with Dean’s Scholarship

congratulations @mimigplay

waitlisted from nursing, a bit surprised considering my stats seemed to be a match (1300 SAT, 3.9 gpa, good ECs) but all nursing schools are competitive and I applied a bit later than most on this forum so it makes sense. I decided to withdraw my app since I probably wouldn’t have gotten into nursing off of the waitlist. congrats to those who were accepted though, QU is a beautiful school!

Thank you! @class22mom

does anyone know how long it takes for your financial aid package to come in? i got accepted last week

Received my daughters today was accepted a month ago

Just applied to Quinnipiac RD, anybody have an idea of when I might hear back? Not sure if anyone already answered this already

anyone know when family weekend is? LOL planning ahead!!!

Hooray, I got in! I’m an international student from the UK if it makes any difference. I got admitted to do Game Design and Development, might throw in a cheeky English minor too. I got a nice scholarship too, but if internationals don’t get need-based aid then I still can’t afford to go anyway. Oh well, glad to know I got accepted!

Currently one my daughter’s top choices, along with Manhattan and U Del…waiting on U Conn(reach, I think) but the state schools not giving much merit. Accepted as civil engineering major.

TeacherMom72 Congrats to your daughter! My second son was admitted to Quinnipiac as well. Beautiful School, he is just waiting for one more to make his decision. Good Luck with UCONN as well. My first son is up at Storrs in Engineering. Such a good Engineering program!!

Thanks so much…congrats to you as well! She loves Quinnipiac as well. I think our mistake (shes my first) was applying to too many and now she’s having a hard time deciding. We are in NY, and she got very little money from UDel and Rutgers…so although Quinnipiac more expensive they gave her better merit. She like Manhattan, but wants to be further away with more campus life. This process is killing me I had no idea it would go on this long!

The process is ridiculous!! The only difference is I knew the way it works this time, but different children, different schools. So stressful!! Quinnipiac does seem to give a decent merit. Was one of the best so far, However, they need too with the high price tag. My only problem is with all this merit, if they don’t do as well as we hope, they will take that away and with conditions like that it is tough to be so excited with a good merit amount. It’s very risky…

Got in with a $22.000 Trustee Award

(Computer Science major)

wow, they really only gave you $20.

There is a difference between a period and a comma though.

Hahaha I’m french and we use commas, didn’t mean to confuse anyone sorry
