Hey everyone, as descision time comes closer I am getting more and more nervous (like everyone else). . I am wondering about my chances at these four schools and am hoping that my setbacks won't destroy me. .
I have a 3.57 weighted gpa (89.3).. I made it into the top 25 percent of my class (150/597)
I got a 77, 76, 76 junior year because of physics and "math b" which is only in ny state and american history(hard teacher, but i can't blame it on him)--everything else was 80 and above..
I dropped pre-calculus this year b/c I simply wasn't doing too well in it.. the colleges will not see the grade. .
SAT's 1210- 620 math/590 verbal.. I took it twice
I am taking two AP's this year and am getting 80's in both (envir. sci. and macroecon.).. my grades have been going up my senior yr. (except for the dropped pre-calc class)
good essay.. counselor thought it was well-written
decent EC's
what does everyone think.. im pretty nervous lol thanks

bummpp. . ....

bump.. anyone?

You should have no problem with Quin or URI, don't know enough about F or NE to say

thanks.. yeah im prob. gunna consider those my safties. . does anyone know about fordham or NU ?..

NE should be a slight reach or a match for you. Not sure how they view the C's.

thanks doesnotexist. . im hoping they don't judge me too harshly.. lol.. i had some trouble with physics-- hopefully this wont matter since I am majoring in journalism

Have you gone to look at all of these schools. They are all very different in terms of size, location , population...

Fordham as you know is a city school, Qunnipiac is a beautiful, but small school in Conn. and URI is a very large state university.

Do you have a preference towards any one of them, usually by the time you narrow down your choices, they are more similar.

yea I've looked at all of them and fordham is my favorite out of those three. . I hope to get accepted there but that is looking less and less likely. . URI I didn't like as much and Quinnpiac was nice ..

I don't know much about URI, but I definately think you could get into Quinnipiac. Northeastern and Fordham are more of slight reaches or matches. I'm not sure it depends on your whole application. Good Luck though!

thanks alot chrisso.. where are you applying?

bummpp.. anyone?

URI is not a very large state university, it's a small one. It has only 10000 undergrads. The campus is a bit ratty, and frosh dorms are 3 people to a 2 person room. Quinnipiac has really great dorms if you want a small, rural school.
I think you are good for URI and Quinnipiac, not too hard.

yeah I agree with you jtran. . I didn't really like the URI campus- I did like Quinn. though. . does anyone else know my chances at fordham and Northeastern?.. thanks

buummmpp.. anyone

buummppp.. .
