Quitting Extracurricular senior year?

I've been in band since my 5th grade year, but I was thinking about quitting next year.
I just lost interest in it, and its so much time commitment. Also band is a package deal, if you do it, you also have to do marching band and a after school band (every tuesday and thursday 4-6) and it's really cutting into my studying time. Our teacher is super strict and always expects us to put band above anything else (didn't let us go to AP study sessions b/c of rehearsal). It also costs like $400 to participate.
I did forecast band into my schedule next year just in case I change my mind, but every day I think about how my stress level will be lower without band.

This is my schedule next year (w/o band):
1. AP calc (ab)
2. AP Lit
3. Advanced French (it's AP, but i'm not planning on taking the AP exam)
4. Peer Mentoring (tutoring elementary school students-also gives volunteer hours)
5. AP Bio
6. Global Literature (class about global issues around the world + projects to help them)
7. Either Hon. Physics, or Sports Therapy, or Psychology

I'm not planning on applying to Ivy leagues, but will this impact my applications to colleges and etc? Any advice?

I am quitting football my senior year, I have already been getting so much crap for that. Eh, school > football.

Hey, no, don’t worry. I was in the same position, I was on and off with two of my ECs in last two years. One of them in which I had shown quite a lot of commitment with a few pretty good awards, but I totally left it in 12th standard, (did just a bit here and there). I got into some well ranked schools, no problem. I also know another girl who left her major EC after 10th standard, and she wasn’t affected either (she got into two Ivies).
I think adcoms realize that interests can change. Do only what you enjoy. For me, it was also a part medical (neck pain) issue, but I didn’t mention that anywhere. I think other activities showed that I wasn’t completely slacking off…
