:(
Geez, 2 more years of HS..Currently a Junior. But I really hate high school. my Cumulative GPA is 3.75 and a 4.0 GPA for 10th grade last semester. And...

530 for Reading
630 for Math
540 for Writing

That's 1700/2400 for PSAT

I've finished Algebra 2, now all other classes don't really deal with SAT. I wonder, will cops call home if I quit going?:P I know my mom won't let me...But I can always tell her about Community College hope that works.

So most important question is..What happens if I just dropout?

What's the point of dropping out after you did all that work? A future employer isn't care wow well you did on the SAT's or your high school GPA, they're going to care that you have a high school diploma or, even better, a college diploma.

I knew a kid that dropped out and got a GED. He finished all his classes by the end of November senior year. He was mad smart and the best chess player I've ever seen. He refused to do homework, and got slightly better scores for the PSAT. (1770) Now he just plays chess in tourneys and goes to a CC, which hell do fine it. Its not the end of the world, its just the road not taken.

Not a joke, but I can transfer from a community/technical college to university right?

Why am I wanting to quit..HS is taking its toll on me mentally and I really pushed last year just to have 1 4.0 GPA semester.

Even if not, I always like being the smartest out of an Honors class rather be just another kid in Gifted or whatever.

Confused, he got a GED by senior year? What grade did he drop out? Also, how are his parents supporting him?

If you are, as we say in the South, bored to bits, then you should speak with your parents about taking the GED and immediately going to Community College.

So what happens if I just don't go to school?
Also any chance I could go into community college right now/next semester? Only thing that won't work is that I'll have to go to community college..Meaning I need transportation..

...As we say in softball while we're running our 3.5 miles a day, PUSH IT OUT. aka = Just do it/get it over with... the rewards will be much better if you stick it out.

I'm a quitter I'm told. And slacker. And I don't like school. I know the reward of graduating will be better..But in Georgia, I'm not looking to be an engineer at GA Tech and I feel that UGA is too 'rich/superior' for me.

And in that case..I can go to Gwinnett Tech and always transfer later on?

What do you mean under quitting high school? There are some things that you hate but you MUST do them :)
I'd give a good advice to you: suck it up, grasp your bottom with your hand, go run some six-seven miles and do it :)

I don't have to..I think..Maybe get GED this upcoming summer, go to community college?:P

I wish I could run 6-7 miles, but after years of lying in bed all day(litterally) and finally having to work out hard, running (freshmen PE), my knees are getting constant pain:(

Check with the different guidlines for your state, but generally the legal dropout age is 16. I know my state makes you wait until you're 17 to take the GED. Also check with your CC, I know mine will let you in very easily as long as you're over 16 (you don't even need a GED).
I don't really think dropping out of highschool would hurt you as much as people are saying, if you do well in CC courses. You could go to the CC and possibly even get a two year degree, and still be the age of people finishing high school, and then transfer to a regular college or university, either to continue in the same major or just start over.
Assuming you're over the age required by your state, you could really take the GED anytime.
I considered doing something like this (different since I'm homeschooled), but ended up deciding against it only because my CC is pretty bad, and didn't have many degree programs I was interested in.

quitting high school doesn't make you "stupider" from the total high achievers... Just different. Many people learn differently and mature at different rates.

Another thing you should consider pugfug, many colleges have early entrance programs in which you can enter college in what would be your senior (sometimes junior) year, and either complete your high school degree with those credits or just skip it completely. Once you've completed college, no one will care if you have a highschool diploma.
You should definitely look into something like this...

I've heard of that Vegan, but I always thought it was half time at HS and half time at college...

So guess I gotta get to talking to my mom:D

Still asking..What happens to me if I just stop going to school? And..what would happen if I called up my deadbeat dad to live with him(and go to school there)if my mom doesn't agree? Guardian issues?xD

And I'm looking to be an Accountant, since I can't envision myself designing for the world(engineer) and nothing else looks better.

When you're half at HS and half at college it's dual credit, but a lot of schools will admit you early (early entrance) without a highschool degree. I'm not sure exactly what schools do it, or what type of school your looking at but you should definitely consider early entrance.
How old are you? A lot of the questions really depend on your age.
