<p>stanford took in two people from my school last year too. Same class, really, and that's just the arts faculty. Surely there were others who applied from the humongous science faculties. :)</p>
<p>Stanford didn't like my school and rejected all of us, aid or not (and all of the applicants from the previous two years), despite having legacies, URMs, children of millionaires, near-perfect scorers, those with perfect transcripts (and some with more several of these factors) apply. </p>
<p>This year one person got in EA, so it seems as though the trend has finally been broken.</p>
