Quoting a blog?

<p>Hello, I am in the last steps of finalizing my essay. There is a description of a type of cake (1 sentence) that I read on a baking blog and really like the wording. I have been trying to paraphrase it, but cannot make it as concise and witty. I am thinking of putting it down as a quote. Is this possible? If so, how do I give credit to the author? The blog is written by multiple individuals and the particular author of that blog post does not publish his or her name. Should I put an asterisk behind the quote and provide the link to that blog post at the end of my essay?</p>

<p>Why don’t you just say something like “according to [blog name]…”</p>

<p>It’s not a formal essay, so you don’t need to have formal citations and you don’t need to include a link at the end. Just make it clear somehow that you’re using someone else’s words. </p>
