damn,I fail the same class twice. the first time i drop the class and get a 'w',the second time cuz i was sick and miss some quizs, and i got a 'D'.can i retake the class again? are there any bad effect for transfer?

what class is it? you can take the class again but it depends on your school. at my school if you get two D’s in a row you have to take it another campus, but a W and then D im pretty sure you can take it again check with your school first.

just as long as you make up the class you’re fine.

did you apply anywhere for next fall?

i wanna to apply UC. are there any bad effect for transfer?

huh… anyone here?

‘W’ is nothing, it won’t affect your admittance of undergraduate school but if you want to go to Graduate school then have the least amount of possible.

“D” is bad – especially for UC’s – so retake the class for a higher grade. If your transfering this year (As in you’ll start at an UC at Fall 2011) your transfer might be nullified IF your GPA lowers enough to disqualify you from TAG and if that course was a pre-requisite for your major or to finish your lower GE (or IGETC)

Alright here’s what you do, since you’ve failed the same class twice. Try to retake it again. It might affect your application, but the UCs will consider you if you manage to do well in that class. I have been on the same boat as you, but I got into UCSC so you still have a shot! Just don’t fail that class again.
