RA position

Im going to sign up to be a RA for next fall but i was wondering how long does it usually takes to find out if you got the position or not? Do they send you an email or something?

It depends on your university. Universities nationwide have different dates, deadlines, etc.

Yeah at my school people found out two weeks ago already.

Our applications are due the second week in april and interviews are the weekend after i think. So i was guessing it should be sometime in may right?

No one here can help you, unless they happen to go to your university. Ask the people responsible for making the decision.

This is true. At my university the RAs apply in November, go through interviews in mid-January and find out at the end of January.

Well if you’re approached to do so the researcher will just email you directly whenever it suits them. There’s not necessarily interviews or application.

^im assuming the OP meant RA for a dorm and not a research associate

Yea RA for a dorm.
