I was wondering if it was an advantage/disadvantage of being Pakistani when applying to colleges. Pakistanis are considered Asian yet I wasn’t sure if they were viewed the same way as Indian and Chinese students are viewed(rumored to be slightly more difficult for admissions). I know that the trend varies from college to college but i was just wondering in general if Pakistanis are held to the same scale.

Only US citizens are considered for racial preferences, if you are an international your race is irrelevant. Country may be considered. Sometimes it helps, especially for LAC’s.
I believe Pakistanis are Asian though probably seen a little different than Chinese, Indians or Malays but Asia is such a huge continent and I think other countries are really fond of having Asians on board.
