How big a part does race influence the admissions like if you are an under represented minority?

I don’t think it would really matter for you. Except all the Asians probably have a huge competiton to get in.

Im not asian

Well, all I can say is that it just depends because many schools want diversity.

6…:)

does that mean i have a higer chance of acceptance? Like how big a part does that play?

Nooo, I’m asian D:

unfortunately,i am a typical asian…

Well, if your not from asia you probably have small but higher chance of acceptance (schools tend to have Alot of asians) , but I can never be sure. Where are you from?

‘asian’ is too broad of a term… if you’re from korea or china, it’s not going to help you, if you’re from… um, kazakhstan or nepal, hurrah!

To be honest don’t focus on ethnicity because when it comes down to it they want the best students. But yes it may bump you up a bit.

^ but if you compare (just using examples) an athletic recruit from zimbabwe to a… violinist from korea, who do you think will PROBABLY be the better student? URM/hooks have a pretty nice edge…

I actually can’t find an answer for that question. Who ** would ** be the better applicant?

What is a URM hook and i am african

URM = underrepresented minority

if you’re from africa, i’m pretty sure you qualify… yay affirmative action ~
