<p>If u have an obviously Asian last name, your application is going to be read in the context of that race, even if u check ‘prefer not to respond’.</p>
<p>It is better not to identify as Asian due to affirmative action being against Asians. Now, that being said, if you have an Asian last name like GMTplus said, then it will be hard to hide. If you don’t, take advantage and select other.</p>
