Race Question

<p>I just had a quick question about race when applying to college. As you can probably tell from my username I am Egyptian, so I was just wondering if I can legitimately put down that I am African American on my college apps.</p>

<p>If you are of Arab or Hellenic ancestry, which is about 90% of all Egyptians, then you would be considered Caucasian or White, unless they make a distinction for Arab on the application. You would not be considered African-American. </p>
