My friends bro goes to emory. He's a korean international. He said that Emory (student body) has racist tendencies. He said something about it "being in the south" which I thought was ridiculous.

It doesn't matter as much for me, as I've lived in the US pretty much my whole life, but seeing as i'm applying next year I was just curious.

i really don't think you'll have to worry too much about racism at emory. even though it is in the south, emory is a northern school and it has one of the must diverse campuses in the country. i would say that emory has no more racist tendencies than any other top college.

as much of this is true i thkn it is a recognized thing at emory that koreans tend to stay with other koreans and usually go to clubs with themseslves there are exceptions though

Okay, I get that Emory is more "northern" than many of its southern peers and that it has great diversity. However, what is the point if there is very little ethnic interaction?

I disagree. I think there's a lot of interaction, especially among first year students, because the administration is very careful to mix races/hometowns on freshman halls.
