What do people think of the negative remarks here? A few have to do with racism against Asians on campus..

i think the fact that he refused to specify his controversial beliefs sheds some light into "the racism" It was probably something serious like killing a politician or something idiotic like that. NYU is open to a whole range of submersive ideas, more than most colleges. his post is non sequitor also...he blames it on being asian...then blames it on his opinions. he had to do/say something udderly stupid to get death threats, which in almost all certainty has nothing to do with his face.

this is so typical. frustrated guy who has a closed mind, no people skills, and irrational beliefs, then mars his enemies with exaggerated sensationalist images. i have a venezuelan friend who goes to NYU and she constantly raves about how everyone is so non-judgemental and accepting. my guess is this person did something crazy and made a fool of himself, and now is trying to make everyone else look bad because he feels humiliated.

physically attacked?
school leaders spreading rumors?
profs laughing directly at his face?

uhhhh yeaahhhh i dont believe everything i read on the internet.

HAHAHAHA

racism against asians at NYU? Asians make up something like 22% of NYU (and something like 55% of Stern).

all i know is, i want an asian possey...

all i know is, i want an asian possey...

LMAO

Racism? In my opinion, it's unlikely. While growing up in America certainly imbues people with internalized racism, NYU students never (in my experience) shout slurs at each other or insult each others' work because of race. You're far more likely to experience racism from a person on the streets who is NOT part of the NYU community.

Racism in NYC? Now that's a little laughable.

Believe it or not, it happens.

All I know is, I would hate to be his roommate. This guy sounds like one of those wierd kids who stays in his room all day and makes a hit list for when he gets older. I mean, he was rattling off those names pretty easily.

He does sound like a creep that would do that!

I'm glad you agree. :)

EDIT: This is all speculative, though. It is not in any way an attempt to insult those of you who do this.

LMAO.

Great way to avoid being on someone's hit list.

Hey I've got a few sweet years yet to live. I gotta achieve world-domination before I die, you know.

You could run for president, win and think you've achieved world domination. Just ask Bush.

Haha, I'm not as ambitious as that yet. I'm in the baby-steps phase: trying to talk with a girl without walking away with a sore cheek. Once I get past that obstacle, however, I'll take your advice into consideration.

who are you talking about? "rattling off names..."?

Peter Barton, Lamar Sanders, Susan Leber, Robert Honor, Darrel Wilson, and Kelly Reichardt -- tried to have me expelled because I hold different beliefs than they do.

I was referring to that bit, which is a tad strange in my opinion.

Trying to talk to girls without walking away with a sore cheek? haha, what kind of pick up lines do you use? "Can I buy you a drink, or do you just want the money?"

He accuses others of being racist and then makes statements like: "White people here are all the same. They act the same, they look the same...".

So, who's the racist?
