Racist at WVU

Are there racist people there and are their racist activity there because I am a black high school senior and I got accepted to WVU but some of my friends said that there are racist their, are they right?

That’s a good question because I am also a black student and I was also accepted. I know you may find racism everywhere but hopefully its not blatant. I hope we get some answers. I visited the campus and fell in love with it. This is my #3 school. Edwin maybe you can in-box me.

Hello. I am an unapologetic black student at WVU. Since I have been here, there has not been any extreme racist incidents like the ones that took place at Oklahoma, Mizzou, or Ole Miss knocks on wood. The most blatant racism I have experienced on campus was when typical University of Maryland fans randomly yelled at me and called me a nigger as they drove by after we beat them in football. I brushed my shoulder off. The Center for Black Culture and Research hosts great events, Mainstage Morgantown occasionally brings black artists, and Soul Brothers and Africana Cherith are good places for black food. If you choose a PWI, you will almost certainly experience racism on some level. Remember, it is not about white feelings. It’s about you and your future. You will be comfortable with your blackness at WVU.

If you’re looking for racism, try Alabama or Ole Miss. Are you aware that WVU is almost in Pennsylvania? Good gosh.

Pennsylvania has its share of racists, so I don’t know why you’re acting like it’s some paragon of virtue.

I don’t know about the racism aspect at WVU, but there might be might be an academic bias against people who don’t know the difference between “there” & “their”.
