Evergreen State is definitely one of the cheaper colleges for out of state students. Tuition is about $14K a year for OOS.

If you can speak Spanish, Universidad Bolivariana de Venezuela would be right up your alley:

Also, Universidad de los Andes or Universidad Central de Venezuela would probably be good fits also. If you're willing to renounce your US citizenship, pretty much any college or university in Cuba would be good also.

However, if you wish to stay in the US and reap the benefits of capitalism while exercising your rights to b**** about them, then Reed, NYU, Columbia, or Wesleyan would be pretty good for you. The thing is you may occasionally have your views challenged, even by fellow leftists.

BYU, Texas Tech, Notre Dame, and most schools in the deep south.

Leftist schools in the deep south? Sounds odd to me.

"Leftist schools in the deep south? Sounds odd to me."

Really?????????????????????

^it seems some ppl missed the obvious sarcasm of this post lol

hahahahaha

Some choices that have not already been mentioned:

Antioch College
College of the Atlantic
Portland State
New College in Florida
New School / Eugene Lang in New York City
Earlham College
Marlboro College
Institute for Social Ecology (not a stand alone college, but an interesting summer program in Vermont -- used to be on the Goddard College campus but now I think that they have moved -- that you may find interesting)

Brandeis. <3 <3 <3

Not to mention we're pretty politically active as a whole.

Antioch U in Yellow Springs OH. They have been called the anarchists.

Why the f*** would you want to be a left wing radicalist? Get off the boards, Jesus...

Get off the boards, Jesus...

I didn't know Jesus was on the boards.

/humorous misinterpretation

Alright, ideal (right I know, we don't live in Utopia, but I'm speaking hypothetically) communism does not have a government. Nobody is any higher than anyone else and they can be trusted to share with those in need and get work done. Probably a small tribe-ish community. Anyway, yeah, people believe that. They're not mutually exclusive.

heres my theory : like communism? go to a communist nation.

and then commies always reply

"there are no communist nations" -.-

Q."Where's a good school for smart anarchists?"

A."There are no smart anarchists."

There are technically only 5, and of course most of them are more socialist or stalinist, and none of them are English-speaking.

icemaker had some of the best suggestions for activists- as for anarchists, meh. If activism/radicalness is your deal, (it’s my deal) i’d suggest collegs in the Eco consortium, evergreen state for sure, reed, hendrix, new school, new college of florida, colorado college, antioch (if it wasn’t shut down, *****es.) I am thinking pretty seriously about going to Goddard…Prescott is good, all of these progressive LAC’s love to add a weighty price tag. BEAWARE!

I genuinely thought #50 was claiming that Jesus was a “left-wing radicalist”.

There is an argument to be made for this view. He did chase the money-changers out of the temple, after all, and said it was easier for a camel to pass thorugh the Eye of the Needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. When the rich young ruler asked, “what must I do to be saved,” he advised him to sell all his possessions, and give the money to poor.

I know Utah and UMass are famous for having Marxist professors, and I think UC Riverside does as well.

I noticed most overly liberal schools don’t have nearly as many good-looking students as conservative ones.

I’m gonna say all Cal schools minus Pepperdine, LMU, etc with the lesser diversity. Chico and SDSU, not sure about. Maybe split in half.

Universidad de los Andes is a great school.

Wait, I’m thinking of the Colombian one. And I’m guessing Uribe isn’t your cup of tea. Not sure about the Venezolana institution.
