hey guys i am transferring in fall 2011 and still havent recieved my housing assignment..

the thing is, i just realized that radisson hotel can be chosen in the application, but there is no info about that in the web page.

so, is radisson a good place to live for a transfeR?

thanks

The Radisson is overflow housing for freshman applicants who would otherwise live in an on-campus dorm. So, to answer your question: No, it is not an ideal place for a transfer student to live.

I’ve talked about transfer housing at length in some other USC housing threads that are recent. Look at my post history and you should be able to find it. Most transfers live in off-campus USC owned apartment housing reserved for sophomores, juniors and seniors.

Im pretty sure the radisson isnt available next year.

thanks…

@zelda i am still not assigned yet, so i am looking for off campus housing… what do you think of tuscany and west 27th?? which one is better?

West 27th hasn’t opened yet and since I am not an UG student anymore, I have no idea what it will be like or how much it will be. I talked about it (and Tuscany) in the housing thread…

I just stayed at the Radisson for F1 Orientation and one of the hotel staff said that this August they are closing the dorm floors off and renovating all the rooms to return it back to a hotel. After those floors are remodeled, they will close off the current hotel room floors and remodel those. Not sure it was accurate info but the staff member seemed pretty sure about it.
