Is it possible to raise my SATs (680M, 720CR, 700W), i.e. 2100 to a score between 2200 and 2250 within one month. I'd like to break the 2200 barrier. I want to know if it would be possible to raise my math score by 100 points (lots of silly mistakes on my part), and my CR and Writing scores by 10-20 points each

EDIT: I meant one month not two

Yes, it’s entirely possible. You just need to put in the effort.

You just need to do a ton of math problems from any book. Grab Kaplan, Barron’s, Princeton Review, anything, it doesn’t matter - fixing silly mistakes is about repetition, and lots of it. If you can purchase a book or two, do so and do one or two math sections a day depending on how much time you have until you take the SAT again. You’ll hopefully eventually see your score increase, just don’t let yourself get frustrated or stressed out. It’s important to stay relaxed and in control when you do these problems so you don’t make silly mistakes. I pulled up my score 100 points in 3 months by doing one section a day, so you might want to do more problems than I did.

Hi stannisdamannis,

When did you take the SAT last time?
Have you done any study since the last time you took the test?

@StevenToCollege: It’s been some time since I took the SAT since I am a transfer student. I was thinking of studying during my winter break that runs a bit over a month (5 and half weeks), and taking the SAT in January. I’ve been reading daily, so I think my vocabulary has gotten a bit better. I might start revising my grammar as I am thinking writing intensive courses at my university, so that should my writing score. It’s really the Math that’s warranting my reason for a retake.

Bump, anyone?
