My little sister is a sophomore and just took her first PSAT 162 and Practice SAT's 1500...can she get those scores up by junior year if she takes private tutoring and studies all summer?

Her goal is to get 2000-2100...is it even possible to get a score up that high based on the PSAT and SAT scores? (Even if she's willing to put in the effort 110%?)

Absolutely:D.... Just make sure she focuses on the math... and she needs to memorize loooooaddddds of vocab!... and familiarize her with the writing trends... should be fine.

Absolutely possible.
My sophomore PSAT score was 1600. My Junior sophomore PSAT score was 2080. Current goal score: 2200+

Your sister should have a decent writing teacher, become more careful on the math section, do 1 hour of reading comprehension problems each day (not the sentence completion problems) and memorize and review approximately 60 words each day.

After memorizing AND reviewing at least 2-3 times of the vocabs, start doing the sentence completion problems along with the reading comprehension problems. Remember, having a decent writing teacher is crucial as he/she will explain various grammar rules and coach her the ways of writing an essay that is worth 12 points.

Yes, you can raise your score hundreds of points. The SAT is written so that students score the same score each time the test is taken. The test doesn't change, and unfortunately most student don't change. With smart prep, you can learn to take the test differently. The key: carefully work through questions you've missed...try to categorize the reasons that you're making mistakes. Often times, you will find that it is the result of not reading carefully.

She can definitely raise her score. It isn't necessary to pay loads of $ for private tutoring or an SAT course. Just get the blue book (the one the college board puts out). It has 8 practice tests....real tests with real SAT questions. Practice, practice, practice. Check out the Xiggi method this website. He has a great plan for studying for the SAT. Also, mystertutor.com is a great source. My son got 175 on psat...about 1800 on his first practice test....after a couple months of practice and several practice tests, he was up to 2150. We are waiting to get back his real scores from the Jan. test.
