I’m a rising senior who has taken the ACT twice so far. Due to junior year being completely stressful and busy, I didn’t study either time, which is really bad, I know.
The first time I took the ACT I made a 23 composite because of horrible time management and stress, and the second time I made a 26, 3 points higher without studying. I have already signed up to take the test one last time. (hopefully) I take it in two months.
My goal is to make a 30. I’m an AP student with a 3.9 GPA, so I know I can do better on this test if I really study.
Anyone have any tips/study methods/programs that have really helped increase their score? Thanks!
Use practice tests to project your score. You want the red book with the real act tests. Time yourself taking one test for each of the sections then project your score.
Your practice tests will come close to your real score. A four point jump is huge, but possible depending on your challenges. Time management, for instance, can help a lot of you arent getting through all the questions.

I’m just gonna reference to what I said to this person’s thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/19817588/#Comment_19817588
And if you are applying RD then I believe you could take the October Test as well. EA then yeah, Sept will be your last test. Good luck
