I took the ACT for the first time in April and got a 27. I didn't study at all whatsoever and I had a track invitational the Friday night before the test. I was wondering how realistic a 3 point (or more) improvement would be, given the circumstances? Also, the math portion was the only one I did not manage to finish, and I think that is part of the reason that score was significantly low.
ACT scores:
Reading: 30
English: 27
Math: 24
Science: 25
Writing Portion: 10
Composite- 27

Are you a junior? Do you always take a test/exam without studying? You can easily get 3-5 points (or even more) improvement in ACT score by practicing the test, but you would have to dedicate your time and effort to do that. Just retaking the test may get you 1-2 point increase simply by getting familiar with the test format and environment. Imagine if you have thoroughly prepared for the test, you may have 33 already in your pocket.
