Raising efficiency with Graphing Calculator on SAT Math sections? How do you do it?

I was taking a practice test the other day and I found that although I was more confident in answering the questions, I remember having difficulty using the calculator quickly during the test.

I haven't really used a graphing calculator since being out of school. Are there little tricks or shortcuts that you find helpful when using your calculator to find your answers quicker? Feel free to list them below.

You won’t need a calculator on any of the SAT math questions, but they could be helpful on a few problems, or to check answers.

Other than the basic arithmetic operations, the following could be useful:

*Graphing ability (obviously)

If you need to evaluate a function at a bunch of points, you can declare functions on your calculator, e.g. f(x) = sqrt(x^2 + 1) or f(a,b,c) = (-b + sqrt(b^2 - 4a*c))/2a.

*Built-in functions (e.g. permutations, combinations)
