i currently have a 23 on my act but i would like at least a 27 or 28... i didnt study at all when i got my 23. also i havent comleted algebra 2 yet and consequently math was my lowest subscore (20).. i am also enrolling in an act prep class will it be possible for me to raise my score 4 or 5 points by next October?

Assuming you’re a junior, I would say that there’s a pretty decent chance of you raising your score. The math section is very algebra oriented, and none of it goes too in-depth, so if you’re worried about the math then the ACT prep class should probably help quite a bit. If you still don’t feel confident then you could always get your own personal tutor – I know that where I live the libraries offer them.

The biggest tip I can give you though is TO KEEP PRACTICING!!
If your scores don’t start getting better after you consistently take practice tests for a few weeks, then you could ask someone for help.

practice practice practice

I went from a 31 to a 35 by doing the three practice tests made by the ACT. If you work hard, you should be able to improve that many points!

Collegebound7777 where did u get those practice tests?

It’s certainly possible if you take some practice tests. I went 28->31->35. Taking practice tests in the few days leading up to the test was the key for me.
