I am preparing for the SAT test on the 7th of October 2017. On my first attempt, i got a 1370. However, my target this time is around 1530+. I have been prepping since last two months and have managed to raise my score to 1440 on the practice tests. However, on the reading section, i always get 15 or so questions wrong and that lowers my score a lot. On the writing section, i manage to do only 3-4 mistakes and on the math section, i get around 3 wrong everytime. How do i improve my scores in a month??
It’s a bit late to work on fundamentals (such as grammar rules/math rules) with just a month left; however, if you can improve your reading, that would obviously increase your score a lot. For reading, take a lot of practice passages (via a review book or Khan Academy, if you’re self studying). For reading, I personally found that the more problems that I tried, the more I got accustomed to the question patterns. Whereas writing and math are more objective and seem to have a clear answer, reading had always screwed me up; I found that continuously practicing reading passages definitely improved my reading score.
If you want to improve writing/math, you should get a review book. Even though you just have a month, review the fundamentals–the stuff you’ve been learning from elementary through high school. You should be able to reduce mistakes on writing/math to two or three if you’re solid on the fundamentals.
Lol well I have saturated the Khan Academy reading and writing problems. Writing and math sections are pretty easy for me. Like i always get only 2-3 questions wrong.
Also, I tried what you said about reading part. I did like 15 passages in one go and yeah it did improve my score. But what happened was that when i took the test, it was like everything i had learnt that day faded away and i came back to square one. I am really panicking with 20 days left and my score not improving at all.

There is data out there that after certain amount of studying (for almost anything) there is a point where you just cant improve. You are at a very very high level even at 1440. Have you tried the ACT? Maybe it would be better suited for you.
