Hey everyone, I got my scores back from the sat a while ago, I just haven’t had the guts to start a discussion here.
Anyway. I’m a sophomore, I did awful on the PSAT, but I was sure it was the proctors fault (she didn’t give us the proper time limit for each section) and i got a 140. I was really disappointed but i studied every day for 4 months, and took the SAT and i got a 1520 (480 CR, 420 M, 620 W E=10) I’m even more disappointed now…I feel like a complete failure. I’ve been an A student my whole life, I have a 3.7 GPA, so I can’t be that bad. My dream school is NYU, and i KNOW you need somewhere around a 2000 SAT. I don’t know what to do, I study all the time but the math on the SAT just seems so out of place from what I’m doing in Algebra 2 right now, and people say you don’t need anything higher than it for the math section. Does anyone have any success stories or tips for CR and Math? I feel fine getting my writing up to 700+, except its a matter of time before the writing section is gone, and I’m stuck with my weakest (and only) sections for the test. Thanks so much. I’m sorry if this felt like a rant, because I feel like that right now. I posted this in the SAT prep forum but I haven’t gotten any responses yet.
bumpp!
