Randolph Macon College and Lynchburg College

Does anyone have any thoughts on Randolph Macon College or Lynchburg College? I was just reading about these two and thinking a bit about my sophomore son. He is undecided as to his major. (His grades and test scores will be fine for admission to either.)

Are the students friendly? Very conservative? Political? Religious?
Are there academic programs either is particularly well known for?
Are the professors helpful?
Does Greek life dominate campus, so it would be hard to socialize if you were not going Greek?
Are there students from across the country?
Do students stay on campus over the weekends?
Is there school spirit?
(What else should I be asking...)

Thanks for any input!

Hmmm, now I just read about Virginia Wesleyan...

Since you have a “son” then consider Randolph College, which went coed three years ago. Its an outstanding school. In the same region there is Bridgewater College and Roanoke College. All three of these institutions are small and very friendly, supportive of students, with some interesting programs.

Hampden Sydney College is a highly prestigious all male school in the region as well. One of the few, if not the only one left.

Yes, look at Randolph too. They have a great faculty and were pretty highly ranked when they were all female. Since going coed they lost students and are now giving very good aid to students–especially males. Very nice campus too–as is Lynchburg College. RC is most known for liberal arts and science. LC is a little less academic and has popular business and education majors. Lynchburg is a nice and growing older southern city. Crime is low and the COL is cheap.
