Random but Neccessary Questions

speaking of mail, is there a mailbox by every residence hall, or is there just one big spot somewhere on campus for everyone to pick up mail?

Every residence hall has one mailbox area, I believe. I never bothered to visit every hall, though, so I could be wrong.

Every college has their own mail area.

“ahh do students usually bring desktops to dorm? if so…does Warren triple has space for that?
I started to worry that my pc is too big for the dorm-_-”

I brang a full tower last year in a warren triple and had plenty of room for it. It’s cramped as hell but you can always shove something likethat under a desk and out of the way.

“Does the school lend small refrigerators to students living in dorms like some other schools”

no

“speaking of mail, is there a mailbox by every residence hall, or is there just one big spot somewhere on campus for everyone to pick up mail?”

as rofl said there is usually one per res hall. warren has two, one for apartments one for dorms. depending on which college you are in you may have to travel a very annoying distance to pick up any actual packages (for instance in warren, ups/dhl/fedex are kept at the res life office, usps packages are all the way over in mail services).

Ok, I just need something clarified. I’m going to be in a warren triple and I need to know if we’re all going to have our own drawers. i read somewhere on the housing site that we’d have our own, but I just saw a video walk through of the room and it looks like there are only two drawers, one of which is inside a closet.

I’ll just add the other question here…my roommates and I have been discussing refrigerators, and they say that there should be a reservation service for fridges. is that true?

does Robertos have the best burritos? cus they werent that good

ric: I would suggest cotijxans sp??? It’s on Genessee by Claremont Mesa across from the home depot.

It’s also open 24 hours and is FAR LESS GREASY.

roberto’s is known for their carne asada fries.

p.s. anyone seen vannessa hudgens’ new photoshoot? haha

mmmm…Cotixan

yea the carne asada fries werent that good either

coti’s is only good at like 2 in the morning after a party…i wouldnt really eat it during the day. their carne asada fries are good!

What’s the difference between **“Quarter Begins” ** and “Instruction Begins”? Do we have to be at UCSD when quarter begins?
thanks!

You have to be moved in by Sept. 27th.

so, you have to be here when instruction begins? I’m booking Christmas tickets, which would mean I have to be at ucsd on Monday, January 7 (instruction begins) rather than Friday, January 4 (quarter begins), correct?
thanks!

do u need cleats to play flag football???

and also is it helpful at all if you buy the optional books in classes?

^Gah I was just gonna ask that.

quarter begins is just administrative stuff that you can ignore. instruction begins is the stuff you should care about.

optional books, you won’t know until you go to the class and figure out from there whether or not to invest in it. in humanities classes, i think it’s not very necessary. solutions manuals i find very helpful and usually buy those but it’s up to you.

Yes, get cleats to play flag football. Unless you want to get hurt.
