Well, I'm not saying no one should take 150/151 (though having TAed 150 I still hate it), but I personally think it's better to review calculus 1 by yourself and while taking 141 (you have seen a little bit of the early 141 material in calc AB) then take 222 than have your perception of the pace of 150 dulled by the extensive review of calc 1. The only advantage of going through 150/151, if you get As, is that it's 8 credits instead of 6 (but if you are not credited with 140, then 140/141/222 is 9 credits).

wut if i got 5 on ap calc bc??
is it wise to take the 150/151 route?

i'm in engineering btw

Well, I'll say it again. Chances out you'll be bored out of your mind through most of calc 150. Are you sure you can't skip directly to math 222 instead? How much does calc BC cover in terms of integration and series?

My friend who took AP Calc BC covered most of what we did in Math 141, so you could probably skip right to Math 222. If you got credit for 140 already, can't you just do 151 and not do 150?
I remember doing the integration with Riemann sum...holy crap! by then I had already learned to do integration with the different methods and it was so hard to wrap my head around what the hell was going on with riemann sums. and most people couldn't. If you did AP Calc AB you should be fine with MATH 141. It'll be hard, but there's no differentiation. They teach integration from the very beginning. It's just fast and the problems are often quite challenging. I think the biggest challenging with these math courses is staying on top of things. At least for me it was. There are assignments every 2 weeks or so, and they're very time consuming.

If you got a 5 on the BC, did you get credit for 140/141 already?

I got credit for 140/141 and my adviser said "Since you are exempt from both MATH 140 and MATH 141, you are not eligible to take the calculus stream MATH 150 and MATH 151."
Maybe that's just the Science faculty, I'm not sure.

Anyway, if you got a 5 on BC you should be able to go right to Math 222. That's what I did. As long as you give enough time for the homework and pay attention.
I took Math 131 at the same time, which I wouldn't really recommend due to the ridiculous amount of math homework per week.

bittersweet am I the friend who took BC???????? lol i can't believe we communicate over CC and facebook. this is so sad
