If you get your housing app turned in the very first day it opened, and you pick a roommate that just recently got his app in, how does the priority work? Does your early application pull your roommate up to the front of the line for preferences or vice versa?

I’m not sure but I think since you turned in your application early, you and your roommate will have a high chance for preferences. Next year, I’m planning to stay in Poly Canyon Village with some friends who are a year older than me. They liked how incoming sophomores were given priority first, so they would have a higher chance of getting a certain room since they couldn’t sign up until later.

In terms of SOAR, I would email the school and ask about it.
