I see a lot of posts complaining that UCLA admissions were random. Most who say this were the ones that were rejected. I wonder if anyone who was accepted thinks it was random or is a method to the madness?

From what I see, I think they are emphasizing GPA over SAT (thank goodness too).

Data from past years suggests that they emphasized SATs greatly over GPA. Why don't you wait for the official data this year to see if it suggests the same thing? Also, keep in mind people complain of this at most schools every year, and UCLA and Berkeley constantly. In addition, you can't really compare data that well, as it leaves off essays and ECs and awards, and difficulty of curriculum, and many other factors. It happened how it happened. It's like that every year.
