yeah i know nopattern, it's pretty tame stuff, likewise with every other designer you mentioned. i suppose we have different tastes. which is the reason why they make the stuff in the first place. i think thomas pink is boring, i think prada is way beyond boring. but i appriciate their desire not to over saturate. look what happened to burburry. i think it's exciting to have a shirt or shoes or jeans or a new era you can't find at every department store or local foot locker but that's just me.

also it's a cultural thing, one like i said, you don't understand.

plus i didn't call you a douche, the fat guy from death cab did. don't kill the messenger braggh.

"Souther Californian ... haven't seen these brands up...

Haha, pretty much sums it up. It looks like we have a lot of preppies on here.

1.) Ralph Lauren. Everything done by RL is so classic and well-made... I don't feel like I'm wasting my money on something that's going to go out of style next year.

2.) American Eagle. Reasonably affordable (especially compared to its counterparts), and fits me really well.

3.) New York and Company. I love their sweaters.

4.) Gap. (Same reasons as AE)

5.) Kohl's brand... They sell a lot of basic tanks and tees for under $10. :)

I'm really such a bargain hunter though. I can't stand spending a lot of money on anything. I usually end up buying Polo stuff at stores like TJ Maxx and Marshalls, since they're a fraction of the retail price. Yesterday I actually got a $170 cashmere Ralph Lauren sweater for $39.99. It was quite a proud moment for me.

A&F is a little too expensive for me, and Hollister just doesn't do it for me either... Has anyone else noticed that the clothes at Hollister run REALLY small?

For those of you who like buying expensive brands, I'm sure most of you work, so how much of your income goes towards savings and how much towards clothes? And what kind of job are you at?

yeah, i really like American eagle's polos because they're just like AF's and hollister's except twice as cheap, if not more.
jeans for CK also tend to get discounts at Macy's. i just bought a 80 dollar pair of CK jeans there a week ago for 18 bucks. great stuff.

American Eagle

Aeropostale

A&F
also, worried student i noticed what you said. on laguna beach (haha...i had to resort to watching it) all the guys were wearing those brands you mentioned. Elsewhere in the country guys are a lot more preppy and its not considered gay at all.

Gap (jeans are awesome and don't look like a three year old went super happy with scissors)

Burton (I love their regular winter stuff and would KILL for new snowboarding gear right now)

Banana (for nicer clothes)

H&M (unique skirts)

Nordstrom (all other regular clothes from the cheaper "juniors" section)

I should probably say that I don't really wear A&F/Hollister, etc. Its not that I dislike the brand, per se. (though I do hate everything it stands for), its just that I've outgrown their trends. Oh, and I don't like wearing clothes with their brand splashed across my chest or my butt. Sorry, I'm not up for advertisement.
