I hate that whole "Worn out" look...I always tell people...save your hundred dollars and I'll gladly rip your clothes and pour paint on them =]. As for me, I like fresh clean cut clothes.

jr03: Grow up, little commie.

It is pretty depressing. A child from america produces 200x as much waste as a child from chad does. It's a tragedy of the commons. We exploit common property resources all in the reckless pursuit of more things. I'm probably the worst.

I am suprised that no one mentioned american apparel. It's getting more and more popular amongst west coast hipsters (as much as I hate to say it). It's good stuff though.

if you were to rank the "Preppiest" brands, (the top five), what would they be?

see the problem is some people have different definitions of preppy. most high schoolers see preppy as Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, etc. but the richer type think its like Ralph Lauren and stuff. I personally think if thats preppy then i'll pass on preppy, thanks.

ignited said, "if you were to rank the "Preppiest" brands, (the top five), what would they be?"...

this is a really tough question to answer....I agree with wikipedia's listing:
"The term "preppie" is associated, not with dramatic designer fashions, but with conservative clothing brands such as The Andover Shop, J. Press, Paul Stuart, J.Crew, Lacoste, Pringle of Scotland, Brooks Brothers, L.L. Bean, Polo Ralph Lauren, Vineyard Vines, Lilly Pulitzer, CK Bradley and Patagonia. An example of preppy attire would be a navy blue blazer, button-down Oxford-cloth shirt, cuffed khakis, and cordovan loafers. Typical vacation spots include Newport, RI, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, Cape Cod, Kennebunkport and certain other East Coast beaches, often in summer cottages kept in the family for generations and situated between neighbors one has known for some time."
