what do you think about the new yeah yeah yeahs album?

Props to jessetfan, herecomesthesun, and prophasi! My parental unitrecently saw him in concert January they said he was awesome. Piano man- a drunk song? Hahahahaha! I love all types of music, I'm always in the mood to try something new. Yeah herecomestheson, I can always use another buddy! Oddly enough none of my friends share my music style- perhaps bits and pieces. The closest person I know is my stepdad. I forgot to mention 2 Pac, Run DMC, Jay-Z, and Public Enemy.

Having a favorite band/artist just shows that you don't listen to very much music. I don't see how someone can have a favorite band, let alone a favorite song.

Music elitists are pretty much the worst and most annoying sort of intellectual.

Maroon 5 and Papa Roach and Sade all tie. I listen to each of their CD's equally. Nothing alike, but I love them all.

I could never narrow it down to just one artist - or even just one genre! Haha, I probably have favorites in every genre, I just haven't thought of them yet.

Munro, I hope you aren't calling anyone on this thread a music elitist. I am listening to Britney Spears "Hit Me Baby, One More Time" right now, and the CD in my car is Ace of Base. I like filet mignon and I like Twizzlers. Same goes for music - sometimes you are in the mood for quality, sometimes you are in the mood for junk. And there's nothing elitist about knowing which is which.

Also, Munro: Despite your "music elitist" comment, I like you because Stevie Wonder is one of my heroes. I mean, there's nothing like a blind man with a harmonica.

XAntix: I didn't know anyone else listened to Air! I'm the only one in my town. I like to listen to Playground Love to help me chill out before bed.

Are you calling me an elitist because I was questioning how someone could have a single favorite artist?

I could never narrow it down to just one artist - or even just one genre! Haha, I probably have favorites in every genre, I just haven't thought of them yet.

This is what I meant. If you listen to many different types of music, how can you choose a favorite?

From what I have seen, it seems like the people with a favorite band are the ones that own 2 cds. Nothing wrong with that, I was just pointing something out.

I'd be the last person to criticize people for their beliefs or their hobbies. I can't stand people who view others poorly if they don't live up to their standards.

Sorry if my earlier comment sounded a little derogative, it was in no way intended to belittle others.

Dream Theater or Tool.
