Random Question regarding dorm policies

I go to Georgetown, but I am simply curious about dorm policies. Is the policy of forcing female students to leave male dorms (and vice versa) strictly enforced by the University?

Yes, parietals are enforced. With that being said, however, they can be and often are broken. The consequences of breaking parietals are pretty steep and can lead to expulsion for repeat offenses.

Thanks for the answer.

No one goes around opening doors at parietals to check that visitors of the opposite sex are leaving, but when the RAs do make rounds and it is possible that they could catch parietals-breakers. And then you would probably be ResLifed. But as it has been said, it is fairly easy to break parietals, especially in male dorms where side doors are not on alarms after parietals, as they are in women’s dorms.
