<p>This is probably going to sound totally ridiculous, but I was wondering that since school starts on a Thursday, do you still go to a discussion section first even if the lecture is on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday of the following week? I hope this makes sense... Your help, as always, is greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>Yes. Depending on your TA, and whether it's an engineering course, the discussion may occur and syllabi/notes will be distributed so that competitive students can get a head start. :rolleyes:</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure they'll only be communicating by email. Sometimes you won't get one and end up going to class with everyone else and wait (briefly) for a TA that won't come.</p>
<p>Easy answer, always go to the class unless you get an email telling you that you can skip.</p>
