<p>Do colleges see your senior year first semester grades?</p>

<p>And, will they see them at the time that they make their admissions decision/does it play a part in the admissions decision?</p>

<p>This is for Regular Admission of course, not Early Admission</p>

<p>Yes they see them, and yes they matter—otherwise colleges wouldn’t bother to have you send midyear reports. It’s impossible to say how much of a role your senior year grades play, but it’s probably mostly to make sure you’re not slacking off.</p>

<p>If I had a drop in grades second semester junior year, would a stellar first semester senior year be able to partially make up for it and show that the junior year grade drop wasn’t normal for me?</p>
