Random Questions about Grid-Ins

<p>On a grid-in question, can you put in extra 0's as placeholders? For example:</p>

<p>Your answer is 2. Can you grid in 0002? How about 2.00? Or 02.0? Or 002.?</p>

<p>On the AIME you have to do that.</p>

<p>All of those would be fine, except that you can’t grid in a zero in the first column, which would eliminate 0002, 02.0, and 002. … but 2.00 would be ok. In the same vein, you do not have to reduce fractions: 2/4 and 1/2 are both fine (assuming they are the correct answer :)</p>
