random questions about naviance

<p>I think admissions to our community college is pretty automatic, but they do ask for high school transcripts so the school will know from that if nothing else.</p>

<p>Your school can probably tell you how many kids enter 2 year CCs and how many enter 4 year colleges and universities without having Naviance. I know our school tracks all that data and has it available but has never purchased the Naviance program. There’s not alot of reason for high schools to keep accurate track of the individual information. The business of the high school is to graduate kids. It’s a bonus if they can say 7-80-90-etc. of them head off to college and it’s a service if they can give you more data via purchasing software like Naviance and then it’s “up to” the current staff to input all that data…it’s a luxury not a necessity.</p>

<p>^ that’s a good point. I wonder how they do track it though, for example in my case I didn’t even register at the local cc until about a week before classes started…lol
or what about people who took a gap year or started uni later</p>
