I’m sure we applicants do that too. It’s normal(for us).

CC and timeanddate are my most visited websites, a sad and unfortunate fact. I’ve probably spent more time on CC than on homework, which is more representative of my school than me.

bump because I can

WHY COULDNT I HAVE FOUND CC 4 MONTHS AGOOOOOOO >:P oh well…

So how’s everyone holding up, waiting for that sacred day we call “M10”?

Honestly, every single day that comes gives me 15x more anxiety than I started out with. Each day is just more stress and more pressure. I’m so nervous, so much is riding on this. If I don’t get in, I’ll have to stay at the school I’m at which I hate

Guys so this is going to seem really weird… But here it goes. I am a boarding school applicant to some elite schools, and I am an in the closet gay. I plan to come out sometime in high school, but I have no idea what the school will do. What would happen to me and my dorm life?

@PApleaseloveme I talked about this briefly with the Concord AO, and he told me that they’re working on putting unisex bathrooms around the school (in the dorms?), but you’d still have to live with the same gender. I hope everything works out for you!

Bump because everyone is starting little threads!

Bump again!

If people still have questions, I’m a senior at The Derryfield School in New Hampshire and I love it, so feel free to ask me anything.

Okay so very random (though this is called random questions so…), but I hate spending money on clothing. Like a lot. and I feel like everyone else will wear really expensive things and I guess I just want to know what it’s like for people who either don’t want to spend a lot of money or simply can’t. I would much rather spend money on other things

@boardingjunkie : I get what you’re talking about, I’m the same. I really don’t think it’ll matter as long as you’re going with an attitude of “like me for who I am, and if you don’t, I don’t care”. I mean, the school did accept you for you, you know what I mean?

@mrnephew that’s actually good advice. And overall, I would say that I’m also afraid of what people think of my money situation, but I think coming in with the attitude of “like me for who I am” will help in making me feel less comfortable. And yeah, it might be kind of hard when I can’t go on a certain trip because it’s three or four thousand dollars, but overall I think you just helped me out a lot. Where are you going next year?

Lawrenceville :)
