Well, might matter where you were.

I think it does matter where you are.

Caribbean: anytime although it might be considered too dressy

Not HI–rarely ever see seersucker around our state at any time of the year.

It’s very preppy and east coast, IMO.

HImom, if you see a woman in seersucker sundress walking around downtown Honolulu, that would be me! I love that fabric.

Thank you, doschicos and all. I agree- it does matter.

Yes, it was in style around here in the 70s, but no so much since then in Honolulu. It IS a nice fabric.

H wants a seersucker suit!

Stop! This is supposed to be Q then A. Not discussions about seersucker!

Question - Is this an inappropriate use of seersucker???

Seems like it’s wrong to wet down seersucker? (so yes?) Is this a test for non-southerners?

Apparently it’s got a nylon underlayer. I’m glad someone is being creative with seersucker, I wish there was more!

I think its the gingham/multi color that makes those swim trunks wrong.

Here’s some acceptable seersucker swimwear IMHO:

Why do dresses or tops made for amply blessed women have tiny straps?

http://www.golfsmith.com/product/30151887/footjoy-men-s-seersucker-check-shorts. And lots of other seersucker options for the golf course.

@Onward - my D2 is amply blessed and we had the hardest time finding her a dress for her high school graduation a few years ago. The sizes of the dress would get bigger, but never the cup size! She found ONE that fit and it was made of SEERSUCKER! She did like it but she’s had to get savvier about shopping and knows shops and online sites that specialize in clothes for amply blessed women. I’ll look for a few for you.

Here’s one site that has a few options - http://www.barenecessities.com/36F-Swimwear_catalog_nxs,121,size,969.htm

Here’s a serious random question:

Egg cartons have expiration dates. How long after the date is it safe to use the eggs, assuming they have been refrigerated?

@VeryHappy - I’ve always gone by seeing if the eggs float/sink. If they sink, they’re still good. If they stand up on one end, they’re iffy. If they float, toss them.
